Amoeba World is my hand-embroidered, upcycled wearable art clothing line.
I am inspired by weird creatures from amoebas to sea slugs to coral reefs.
With a background in ecology and marine biology, I am enamored by the textures, colors, shapes, and patterns of my surroundings.
Amoeba World seeks to provoke a feeling of wonder, expanse, discovery– sparked by awe of the natural world.
I hand embroider my designs onto vintage garments using second hand yarns, shells and vintage buttons. I look for uniquely ripped and faded garments full of character to revitalize.
Each piece is one of a kind and takes 20-40 hours of hand stitching. These are wearable art pieces designed to last and age gracefully.
